Debunking the myths of longevity: what the evidence says about rejuvenation
A careful, evidence-graded tour of the interventions sold as rejuvenating, decade by decade, separating what is proven from what is promised.
- Duration
- Four live sessions of 120 minutes over two weeks
- Format
- Live online (Zoom Webinar) with reading lists graded by evidence level, maximum 40 participants per language cohort
- Who it is for
- Clinicians, allied health professionals, health journalists and scientifically literate professionals who advise, treat or are simply asked about longevity.

Introduction from the faculty
A short faculty introduction will be added here.
A sceptical, evidence-graded review of the techniques marketed to slow or reverse ageing: caloric restriction and fasting regimens, exercise prescriptions, senolytics, NAD+ precursors, metformin and rapamycin, hormone therapies, plasma exchange and young blood, stem-cell and gene-based approaches, biological-age tests and supplement stacks. Each is placed against the biology of ageing and the human evidence that exists, with a dedicated session on what matters in your thirties, forties, fifties, sixties and beyond. Decade-specific editions follow.
Learning outcomes
- Describe the hallmarks of ageing and how proposed interventions map onto them
- Grade the human evidence behind popular rejuvenation claims
- Recognise the marketing patterns and study flaws that inflate longevity claims
- Prioritise the interventions with the strongest evidence for each decade of adult life
- Discuss longevity questions with patients and clients without over- or under-promising
